Mt Maunganui (Mauao) Sunset
Been a long time between landscape photoshoots and was in Mt Maunganui for a commercial video shoot this evening and decided to head down to Moturiki (Leisure Island) for sunset.
Arrived 30mins before sunset and walked out towards the end of the island, I scrambled down the rocks to the water’s edge and looked around for possible compositions. Having not a huge amount of experience with ocean wave/swell over rock photography I didn’t know where to start.
This gap in the rocks I thought balanced out the shape of Mt Maunganui with the sky helping to frame it all together.
Got extremely lucky for my first ever visit to Moturiki, hopefully this will help get my landscape mojo back.
