Mt Pohaturoa

If you’ve ever driven along SH1 around Atiamuri, Southern Waikato, you would have noticed this giant dome. Mt Pohaturoa, a 240m high lava dome rests on the banks of the Waikato River, and was featured in the 2016 Disney film “Pete’s Dragon”
