Rock of Ages

This rock formation jots out from the side of the hill in Atiamuri and makes for a nice solid foundation to this composition… see what I did there? 🙂

It’s amazing to think that the light from the stars we see in the night sky left its source in some cases millions of years ago, so it’s like looking into the past. Pretty freaky huh!?

Especially when you take into account the speed of light, almost 300,000km per second, which is over 7 times around the earth in a second!
