Tranquility over Tarawera

After the amazing colours of the previous photo, I chucked on a LEE Filters #bigstopper and shot this 53sec exposure.

[17mm f/10 53sec ISO-100 + LEE Filters 0.6 Grad ND + Big Stopper ND]

The ‘Big Stopper’ is a neutral density filter that reduces the amount of light entering the the camera, enabling longer exposure time, which in turn softens the image and blurs slow moving objects and in some cases removes fast moving objects from the picture completely.
