Shooting Space Station

Alerted by NASA as to the whereabouts of the International Space Station (ISS) passing over Rotorua around 6:54pm last night, I headed out to have a look.

This amazing satellite is the brightest man-made object in the sky and travels at a staggering 27,600km/h at an altitude of around 400km and only takes 93 minutes to orbit the earth.

This is a blend of multiple exposures to capture the 2 minutes of time the ISS was visible overhead.
