Falling stars

First clear night for a while in Rotorua last night, so popped across the road to the reserve and captured this startrail.

Saw quite a few shooting stars/meteors, most I can recall ever seeing in one night. Wondered if it had anything to do with the #‎Perseids‬ #‎meteorshower‬, but that would have been better viewed in the northern hemisphere.
