Spring Skyline

Back in 2008, while working for Destination Rotorua Tourism Marketing, I took the photo below up at Skyline Rotorua.
It was used for many a promotion and there’s still one on display in the Wellington International Airport on the walk out to gates 4-9.

Fast forward seven years, almost to the day and I recently returned to almost the exact same spot and took another photo of the awesome Gifu Cherry Blossom trees. They sure have developed lots and the fence makes for some nice leading lines.

Mental note to return in September 2022 for a third frame to add to the sequence 😉
