Last Road to Summer

As the last day of Summer in New Zealand (officially) comes to a close, I’ve been remembering all the trips out to some of the Rotorua lakes.

Nothing quite beats the view on a hot summer’s day as a cool, calm lake in front of you. Lake Tikitapu or the Blue Lake pictured here from the Okareka Loop Road entrance.

Of course the ice cream shared with the kids after the swim is equally good too, as long as they’ve been behaving… 😉
