City Awakes

On a recent early morning assignment up Skyline Rotorua with Mark Smith NZ I snapped this shot over Rotorua NZ as the sun starting to bathe the city in warmth.

The crisp winter morning air helps to highlight the steamy geothermal activity in Kuirau Park (near), and coming off Sulphur Bay (far).

The Redwoods, Whakarewarewa Forest in the hills on the right while the majestic Mt Tarawera stands guard in the background left.
