The other morning when I headed out to Lake Rotokakahi (Green Lake) to capture the sunrise, I arrived about an hour and a half before sunrise, so had some time to capture some stars while it was dark.
I shot a couple of dozen frames before the stars eventually vanished and managed to capture three decent shooting stars, this was one of the brightest by far.
The moon provided more than enough light to illuminate the foreground while the pink hue in the sky on the left is from the approaching sunrise.
