Cutting the Milky Way

What an amazing morning under the stars this morning watching the Lyrid Meteor shower display from the boardwalk on Lake Okareka.

This was only my 20th frame of the morning and this meteor shot across the sky in front of the milky way. This wide angle shot makes it look small, but it was bright and looked huge at the time!

Part of a 300+ frame timelapse. Lots of action in the sky, plenty of shooting stars, meteors and satellites. Was an amazing display.
