Tarawera Aurora
After all the recent Aurora activity in New Zealand, I decided I wanted to take another stab at astrophotography, trying to get a panoramic photo showing the milky way arching across the sky.
Not visible to the naked eye, the slight glow of Aurora Australis over looking Lake Tarawera, towards Mount Tarawera this morning around 4am.
Made up from 24 portrait images in two rows of 12, each 30sec exposure.
I was joined by a fellow keen astro-photographer, Mark Smith who gave me a few tips on settings etc.
Appreciate the company Mark, look forward to next time.
